Rwanda is a beautiful country located in East-central Africa, about the size of Maryland. The capital city is Kigali. Due to its terrain, Rwanda bears the nickname, “The Land of a Thousand Hills.” The population is roughly 11 million. Though most remembered for the horrific genocide of 1994 which decimated the country, Rwanda has been more recently commended for its great acts of rebuilding and reconciliation. Leaders of the Rwandan Anglican Church have played key roles in these renewal efforts. Despite the enormous task of rebuilding their own nation, the church in Rwanda has also reached out to provide a refuge for the church in America facing crisis.

  1. Uncle Dan, Aunt Kari,

4 years ago my family visited you in Kigali. Rwanda is a beautiful place with amazing people like you. I hope to see your family again some time soon and meet little Abigail. I love and miss you all!
